The two PSP batteries I ordered from Beach Audio through Amazon have both been charged and used in my Phat PSP (1001 model) and Slim PSP (2001 model). They hold their charge well, having given me about 6 ~ 7 hours of play time on either system (slightly more on the Slim, of course). I am always skeptical of non-Sony brand batteries, as I’ve tried a couple of other off-brand external batteries with disastrous results – I imported two large, external battery packs from Asia a couple of years ago which didn’t have an automatic over-charge breaker, and they both burned out on the second charge. These batteries, however, seem like the real deal, as they have both been charged over-night without burning out. I don’t get the feeling they will die anytime soon, either. Quality stuff. Recommended.

This is the new PSP battery, not the one that was discontinued on August 2008. It is basically the same as the one discontinued except for the packaging, I must admit that I was a little undecided on getting this, because there are a lot of Fake Batteries that look exactly the same as the originals, but this is the real thing, it is exactly as shown in the picture.
